Dr. Brooks graduated as valedictorian from Cornell University, earning all honors, before completing his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine. He then pursued advanced specialty training at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Eric Brooks is a physician partner and chief value officer at Premier Cancer Center, where he leads with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, operational innovation, and patient-centered care. With extensive experience in both academic and private settings, he has held key leadership roles, including chief health value officer and faculty liaison for operations at the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute. There, he also served as an assistant professor, guiding institutional strategy and mentoring the next generation of oncologists.
Along with being one of the only proton therapy experts serving the Clearwater and Tampa region, Dr. Brooks is a nationally recognized expert in radiation oncology with over 60 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at major oncology conferences. His research has been published in top-tier journals such as Nature, JAMA, The Lancet, and Journal of Clinical Oncology, and cited in NCCN guidelines for complex cancer care. His contributions to the field have earned him accolades for both medical education and community outreach. He is dedicated to helping each patient achieve the best possible outcome with personal attention, clear communication, and leading-edge technology.
